Elder Care Services Announces New CEO
Mark D. Baldino is the new Elder Care Services President/CEO
(April 23, 2012) Longstanding business and community leader, Mark D. Baldino, has been appointed President/CEO of Elder Care Services.
Jim Wylie, Chair of the Elder Care Services Board of Directors, announced Baldino’s appointment by stating, “Our board and staff look forward to welcoming Mark to the premier senior service organization of the Big Bend. We know Mark has the qualities and commitment it takes to advance Elder Care to a new level of excellence.”
Mr. Baldino comes to the position with 35 years of experience at IBM in senior management, marketing and sales on worldwide, national and regional levels. After his retirement from IBM, he spent three years as an IT and computer services consultant.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Baldino served as President of Leadership Tallahassee Class VII, trustee for the Dick Howser Center and the School of Arts and Sciences, and founding member of the Foundation for Leon County Schools. His work with Boy Scout Troop 109, Tallahassee Museum, and the Magnolia School resulted in increased funding and significant improvements in computer technology.
Current Elder Care President Dr. James Croteau announced his retirement in January after five years of exemplary service. Following Croteau’s announcement, the non-profit organization underwent a three month national search for Croteau’s replacement.
Mr. Baldino assumes his duties as Elder Care President/CEO on June 1, 2012.
“I am delighted that Mark will join Elder Care Services,” remarked Wylie. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and it is clear that he is dedicated to our mission of improving the quality of life for seniors. I know he will assure a healthy future for the organization.”
