Retired & Senior Volunteer Program

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.) offers volunteer opportunities to persons age 55 and older. R.S.V.P. volunteers serve in a variety of agencies and programs. Volunteers set their own schedule, in cooperation with the agency.

The goal of the program is to match the interests of the volunteer with an agency needing that service.

R.S.V.P. volunteers serve in:

public schools
nursing homes
libraries
USDA food distribution sites
day care centers
hospitals
Habitat for Humanity
faith-based organizations
Chamber of Commerce
crime watch programs
and other non-profit agencies

Volunteers perform a variety of services that range from tutoring students, to assisting frail elderly, to answering phones, to building homes.

While in service, volunteers receive free accident, personal and automobile liability insurance. Volunteers are recognized annually for their service and receive a quarterly newsletter.
